Your Love

Yours was a one size fits all kind of love

My starless black and your cloudy blue

Your square in my star shaped void

Leaves empty points

Yours was a copy paste kind of love

Stamped to the tacky canvas of my soul

Slipping and sliding on a bloody mess

Your vision unwavered

Yours was a déjà vu kind of love

Of letters with yellowed envelopes and faded scents

Opened and committed to memory

Read to me again and again and again

Yours was a Christmas cracker kind of love

A shiny ring in a crumpled joke

A gold paper crown pushed down my wild hair

Flimsy tearing and temporary.
