Remnants of You

Remnants of you is the new poem from Charli Says…

Today I tidied you away, filed your love letters under your name

Today I tidied you away

But tell me what I’m supposed to do with the faded shirt that smells like you

Today I found a box for you, a turquoise one with a lighter blue

Today I found a box for you

But tell me if I’m supposed to close, inside your shell and pale pink rose.

Today I took you from my keychain, unclasped the gem engraved with my name

Today I took you from my keychain

But tell me it’s ok to wear, that snowflake crystal in my hair

Today I erased you from my phone, your photos, messages and your ringtone

Today I erased you from my phone

But tell me why I can’t delete, the sound of your voice that’s on repeat.
